Each box includes a beautifully illustrated book about a subject children love, such as our first box — DINOSAURS. There’s a 3-D puzzle relating to the book, which you and your child can assemble, and a matching story map, so your child can retell the story by “coding” their puzzle figure around the map.
Every Mochi box comes with a “Mochi Coding Computer” (1) which has spaces for coding blocks. (2) Kids place their wooden coding blocks in the correct sequence and then help their character (3) execute the sequence on their map.

After many years of experience in a variety of educational settings, Judy Quintero used her knowledge to teach an after-school enrichment class that encouraged children ages 3-6 to explore the creative world of coding and computational thinking. She accomplished this by using screen-free coding robots, stories, and games. In 2020, Covid-19 restrictions kept her from sharing her passion for tangible coding lessons in the classroom, so we have collaborated to bring many of her in-class activities to the safety and comfort of your home. Now, children can delve into fun subjects in the context of computational thinking, on a monthly basis!
